Yan Diomande for RB Leipzig

Yan Diomande Sale Could Complicate Roma’s Pursuit of Antonio Nusa

Roma’s interest in Antonio Nusa could become more difficult if RB Leipzig lose Yan Diomande this summer.

According to Marca, Real Madrid have accelerated negotiations for Diomande. The player has given priority to the Spanish club and has already approved the move, with talks between Madrid and Leipzig now entering a decisive phase.

A Diomande departure would strengthen Leipzig’s position over Nusa. The Bundesliga club would be reluctant to lose two important wide attackers in the same transfer window, especially without first securing replacements.

Roma have been monitoring Nusa as they look to add pace and creativity to Gian Piero Gasperini’s attack. However, Leipzig could now raise their demands or remove the Norwegian from the market altogether.

Much will depend on whether Real Madrid complete a deal for Diomande and how quickly Leipzig respond in the transfer market.

Update from Philipp Hinz of Sky Sports Germany

According to Philipp Hinze Roma have made contact with RB Leipzig regarding Antonio Nusa through intermediaries.

No direct negotiations between Roma and Leipzig so far.

Leipzig are not planning to sell Nusa. That stance becomes even stronger if Diomande leaves.

Nusa is not considered untouchable, but he would come at a high price. Leipzig would only consider offers of €60m or more, and their preference is to keep him.
