Roma are close to completing the signing of Santiago Castro from Bologna in a deal worth around €35 million.
According to Matteo Moretto and Fabrizio Romano, the two clubs are finalising the remaining administrative details of the transfer.
Gianluca Di Marzio reports that Roma and Bologna will resume talks after the Giallorossi’s friendly against Cannes. The final points concern bonuses and the percentage of a future sale requested by Bologna. If an agreement is completed, the documents could be signed as early as tomorrow.
The clubs are also discussing a separate deal for Artem Dovbyk.
Moretto reports that the Ukrainian striker has already spoken with Bologna coach Domenico Tedesco. Dovbyk has asked for time to consider the move and a final decision is expected in the coming days.
According to Checco Casano, Roma are open to a loan with an option to buy that could become mandatory if certain conditions are met. The club believe the move would give Dovbyk the chance to play regularly and rebuild his value.
Alfredo Pedullà states that Dovbyk’s possible move is not part of the Castro operation. Roma would be willing to approve a loan to Bologna, while the player is seriously considering the proposal.
Di Marzio adds that the proposed loan would run until 2027. Dovbyk has not rejected the destination and is evaluating a departure from Roma.
Romano reports that Roma and Bologna have already agreed on the loan formula. Both clubs remain optimistic, but the deal now depends on Dovbyk’s final approval
