Roma have reached an agreement in principle with Bologna for the signing of Santiago Castro.
According to Filippo Biafora on Mana Sport Roma the deal is based on a €30 million fixed fee plus €5 million in bonuses. However, the transfer remains dependent on Artem Dovbyk’s future.
Roma are continuing talks over the Ukrainian striker’s departure, with discussions centred on an initial loan with an option to buy. Dovbyk has not yet approved the move and is still evaluating the proposed destination.
A Dovbyk exit would make it easier for the Friedkin ownership to give the final approval needed to complete Castro’s arrival.
A meeting between Roma’s hierarchy is expected after the preseason friendly against Cannes, where the club will discuss the next steps before making a final decision on the transfer.
