Manu Koné’s future remains uncertain as Roma wait for an offer capable of changing their position on the French midfielder.
The Giallorossi are willing to consider proposals but currently value Koné at around €60 million. No interested club has yet matched that figure.
Manchester United and Al Ahli are among the teams monitoring the situation. United’s interest, however, has not yet developed into a formal bid.
According to The Sun, the Premier League club may need to create space in the squad before making another major investment. United have already spent heavily on Youri Tielemans and Andrey Santos and could prioritise player sales before returning to the market.
Manager Michael Carrick is also reportedly focused on signing a left winger. That could delay any move for another midfielder or remove the need entirely.
Mason Mount’s possible use in a deeper role may also influence United’s decision. If he is viewed as an additional central midfield option, the club could decide against pursuing Koné.
United are also believed to admire Real Madrid midfielder Aurélien Tchouaméni. Any serious move for the French international would require a major financial commitment and could further complicate a potential approach for Koné.
For now, Roma remain open to negotiations but are not prepared to lower their valuation.
