Roma will have to wait longer for a final answer from Antonio Nusa as their pursuit of the RB Leipzig winger remains unresolved.
According to Lorenzo Canicchio, Roma had set a deadline for Monday evening, but Nusa has requested more time before fully committing to a move to the Italian capital. The Norwegian international has already expressed interest in Gian Piero Gasperini’s technical project, although he is aware that other opportunities could emerge during the final weeks of the transfer window.
RB Leipzig are also under no pressure to sell. The German club’s position has become even stronger following Yan Diomande’s expected move toward Real Madrid, reducing the likelihood that Leipzig will sanction another major attacking departure without receiving a significant offer.
Roma sporting director Tony D’Amico must therefore remain patient before deciding whether to make a formal move. Nusa is considered one of the club’s leading targets for the left side of Gasperini’s attack and would represent one of Roma’s most important signings of the summer.
For now, the deal remains possible, but progress will depend first on Nusa giving the Giallorossi a definitive opening.
