Roma are actively working on the future of Anass Salah-Eddine with the Dutch defender expected to leave the club before the start of the new season.
According to Africafoot, the 23-year-old is not part of Gian Piero Gasperini’s plans and will not travel with the squad for the upcoming training camp in Wales. The Giallorossi are now exploring a permanent transfer in an effort to reduce the squad and recoup part of their investment.
Salah-Eddine joined Roma from Twente in January 2025, but struggled to establish himself in the Italian capital. A loan spell at PSV Eindhoven followed, and his performances in the Eredivisie have kept interest in his services alive.
Several Dutch clubs are monitoring the left-back’s situation with a return to the Eredivisie considered the most likely outcome.
Roma hope a permanent sale can be agreed in the coming weeks as they continue reshaping the squad ahead of the 2026-27 campaign.
