Roma are negotiating with Real Betis over a possible move for Abde Ezzalzouli as the club continue their search for a new winger.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the Morocco international is a player appreciated by the Giallorossi and talks are underway to understand whether a deal can be reached.
The operation will depend heavily on the financial conditions. A move is not considered straightforward, but Roma are making an attempt as sporting director Tony D’Amico continues to assess several attacking options.
Filippo Biafora also confirmed that Ezzalzouli has been on Roma’s shortlist in recent days.
The 24-year-old can play on either flank and would give Gian Piero Gasperini another direct and technically gifted option in attack. Roma will now look to determine whether Betis are prepared to negotiate at a price that fits the club’s plans.
Newcastle join race for Ezzalzouli
Newcastle have also joined the race for Abde Ezzalzouli according to reports from Spain.
Fichajes claims the Premier League club are prepared to submit an offer worth around €50 million for the Real Betis winger, who is also being pursued by Roma.
Newcastle reportedly want to accelerate negotiations and have the financial resources to complete the deal following several significant departures.
Real Betis want more than €40m for the winger
Abde Ezzalzouli is more than a passing idea for Roma, but Real Betis value the winger at more than €40 million. According to Matteo Moretto, there is still a significant gap between the two clubs with the Giallorossi unwilling to reach that figure.
The Moroccan remains a player to monitor as Roma assess whether there is room for the parties to move closer in negotiations.
Antonio Nusa is complicated, but not impossible
According to Alfredo Pedullà, negotiations between Roma and RB Leipzig for Antonio Nusa remain complicated although a deal is not yet considered impossible.
Roma are also keeping the Abde Ezzalzouli option alive, but Real Betis are reportedly demanding €55 million plus bonuses for the Moroccan winger.
