Roma are preparing to rebuild both flanks ahead of the new season.
Zeki Çelik has joined Juventus, while Kostas Tsimikas has returned to Liverpool following the end of his loan. Wesley and Devyne Rensch are currently the only wide defenders expected to remain in the capital, with Angeliño and Anass Salah-Eddine both set to leave.
According to Il Tempo, Gian Piero Gasperini and his staff have decided not to keep Angeliño. The Spanish full-back struggled for fitness last season and has shown few encouraging signs during the opening weeks of pre-season.
Roma are therefore open to selling the former RB Leipzig player. A return to La Liga could be an option after Real Betis showed interest earlier in the summer, although his future remains unresolved.
The Giallorossi are now looking to sign both a new starter and an alternative for the wide areas. Sporting CP full-back Iván Fresneda is among the players being considered as sporting director Tony D’Amico works to reshape the squad.
