Abde Ezzalzouli for Real Betis

Roma focus on Abde Ezzalzouli as talks with Real Betis continue

Roma are currently focusing their efforts on Real Betis winger Abde Ezzalzouli as they look to strengthen Gian Piero Gasperini’s attack.

According to Matteo Moretto, Betis value the Moroccan international at around €45 million. Roma are prepared to offer up to €35 million plus bonuses, leaving a gap that is considered difficult but not impossible to close.

The coming days could be important for the development of the negotiations, with Roma continuing to explore the conditions required to reach an agreement.

A separate report from Spain has claimed that Roma could be ready to offer €55 million plus a further €5 million in bonuses. Sport.es reports that the proposal would effectively meet the value of Ezzalzouli’s €60 million release clause, while also suggesting that Roma are ahead of Newcastle in the race.

However, Moretto’s figures are more likely to reflect the type of offer Roma are realistically prepared to make. A package worth €35 million plus bonuses would be more consistent with the club’s current approach, while the €60 million claim appears significantly higher.

Newcastle remain interested in Ezzalzouli, but Roma are continuing to push and hope to make progress in the negotiations over the next few days.

Fabrizio Romano: Roma are pushing to close the deal

According to Fabrizio Romano, Roma are pushing to sign Abde Ezzalzouli from Real Betis. The two clubs have been in continuous contact for several hours to determine whether there is room to structure a deal and reduce the gap between the Spanish club’s financial demands and what Roma are prepared to offer.

Ezzazouli Yet to Give Total Opening to Roma

According to Checco Casano, Abde Ezzalzouli has not yet given Roma a clear and complete indication that he is ready to join.

The issue is not primarily financial, but linked to genuine sporting differences between Real Betis and Roma, with both clubs qualified for the Champions League.

Meanwhile, Tony D’Amico is continuing to work on several transfer options at the same time.

According to Matteo Moretto, Abde Ezzalzouli currently earns €5.5 million gross per season at Real Betis.

The Moroccan winger is reportedly demanding twice that amount to consider leaving the Spanish club, creating another significant obstacle for Roma in their pursuit.
