Abde Ezzalzouli Unconvinced by Roma Move as Betis Demand €45m

Roma face significant obstacles in their pursuit of Real Betis winger Abde Ezzalzouli with both the transfer fee and the player’s position complicating a possible deal.

According to Il Tempo journalist Lorenzo Pes, Betis value the Morocco international at approximately €45 million. Roma have offered around €35 million, leaving a €10 million gap between the two clubs.

An agreement with Ezzalzouli has not been reached either. The winger reportedly does not currently view a move to Roma as a priority step forward in his career and would prefer to remain in Seville, where he can play Champions League football with Betis.

His position represents an additional challenge for Roma, who must persuade both the Spanish club and the player before the transfer can progress.

The Giallorossi could attempt to change Ezzalzouli’s mind by offering him a significant salary increase. Improved personal terms may be Roma’s strongest tool as they try to make the move more attractive.

Ezzalzouli remains an appealing option because of his pace, dribbling and ability to play on either wing. However, the operation is currently difficult, and Roma may need to decide whether to improve their financial proposal or focus on a different attacking target.

For now, the distance between the clubs and the player’s preference to stay at Betis leave negotiations without a clear breakthrough.

Update from Filippo Biafora:

Roma’s pursuit of Abde Ezzalzouli is becoming increasingly difficult. According to Filippo Biafora of Manà Sport Roma, several Premier League clubs are interested in the Morocco international, while both Real Betis and the player remain unwilling to lower their financial demands. Those obstacles leave the Giallorossi facing a complicated and increasingly expensive operation.
