Roma Continue Quiet Pursuit of Antonio Nusa

AS Roma are working behind the scenes to sign RB Leipzig winger Antonio Nusa, according to Italian transfer expert Alfredo Pedullà.

Recent reports have linked Roma with Real Betis attacker Abde Ezzalzouli. However, that possibility is reportedly viewed as a smokescreen due to the excessive cost of completing a deal for the Morocco international.

Roma’s real target is believed to be Nusa, with the club maintaining regular contact as negotiations continue. The proposed transfer remains open and, while an agreement has not yet been reached, the operation is not considered impossible.

The 21-year-old Norway international primarily plays on the left wing but can operate across the attacking line. His pace, dribbling ability and willingness to attack defenders would provide Roma with a direct threat in wide areas.

RB Leipzig are expected to demand a significant fee for one of their most promising players, making discussions with the German club the main obstacle. Nusa’s position, however, is not believed to represent a barrier to a possible move.

Roma are proceeding discreetly as they assess the conditions required to advance the deal. For now, Nusa remains the club’s preferred target to strengthen the attacking flank.
