AS Roma are monitoring Eintracht Frankfurt winger Jean-Mattéo Bahoya as they consider further additions to their attack, according to transfer journalist Ben Jacobs.
The 21-year-old is one of several profiles the Giallorossi could explore during August. Roma’s interest remains at an early stage, with no advanced negotiations currently reported.
Bahoya primarily operates on the left wing but can also play in other attacking positions. His pace, direct dribbling and ability to carry the ball would provide Roma with another dynamic option in wide areas.
The France Under-21 international joined Eintracht from Angers in January 2024 and is under contract with the Bundesliga club until 2029. He has since gained experience in German football and European competition, including appearances in both the Champions League and Europa League.
Roma would face significant competition if they decide to move forward. Several English clubs are reportedly following Bahoya, while teams from Saudi Arabia also remain interested in the winger.
Eintracht are therefore in a strong negotiating position and are under no immediate pressure to sell one of their most promising young players.
Bahoya is currently a name to monitor rather than an immediate transfer target. His situation could become clearer during August as Roma evaluate their attacking options and rival clubs decide whether to formalise their interest.
