Gian Piero Gasperini has named the 23 players who will travel to Wales for the second phase of Roma’s pre-season preparations.
The Giallorossi will be based at the Vale Resort in Hensol, approximately 20 kilometres from Cardiff, from July 31 until August 8.
New signing Santiago Castro has been included following his permanent transfer from Bologna. Robinio Vaz will also make the trip after recovering from injury and returning to group training at Trigoria.
Several young players have been added to the first-team group, including Bah, Luigi Cherubini, Emanuele Lulli, Mattia Mannini, Renato Marin, Filippo Nardin and Lorenzo Panico. Gasperini will use the camp to evaluate his squad ahead of the 2026–27 season.
Roma’s complete squad for Wales is as follows:
Goalkeepers: De Marzi, Gollini, Svilar.
Defenders: Rensch, Ndicka, Hermoso, Mancini, Ziolkowski, Wesley, Mannini, Nardin, Reale, Lulli, Ghilardi.
Midfielders: Cristante, El Aynaoui, Pisilli, Panico, Bah.
Forwards: Castro, Malen, Soulé, Dybala, Cherubini, Vaz.
Roma will spend just over a week in Wales, combining daily training sessions with a series of friendly matches. The secluded facilities at Hensol will give Gasperini and his staff an opportunity to continue developing the team’s physical condition and tactical identity away from Trigoria.
The squad will return to the Italian capital on August 8 before continuing preparations for the new campaign.
