Kevin Schade for Brentford

Roma Contact Kevin Schade’s Agents as Brentford Set €45m Price

Roma have added Brentford attacker Kevin Schade to their list of candidates for the left side of Gian Piero Gasperini’s attack.

According to Corriere della Sera, sporting director Tony D’Amico has opened initial contacts with the German international’s representatives to explore the conditions of a possible transfer.

Schade is a right-footed forward who can operate from the left, through the middle or across the attacking line. His speed, physicality and tactical versatility are considered a good match for the profile Roma are seeking at Trigoria.

Brentford, however, are reportedly demanding approximately €45 million for the 24-year-old. Roma currently consider that valuation excessive, meaning no formal negotiations between the clubs have begun.

The Premier League side are in a strong negotiating position. Schade joined Brentford permanently from Freiburg in 2023 and remains under contract until June 2028, allowing the English club to maintain a high asking price.

Roma’s approach is therefore still at an exploratory stage. D’Amico’s contact with the player’s agents allows the Giallorossi to understand his availability and potential personal terms before deciding whether to approach Brentford.

The club are expected to make their most significant remaining investment in a right-footed left winger. Schade’s characteristics fit that requirement, but Brentford would need to lower their demands for the operation to become realistic.

Schade is a profile to monitor as Roma continue evaluating alternatives following the collapse of their pursuit of Abde Ezzalzouli. For now, the German has joined the shortlist rather than becoming the subject of an advanced negotiation.
