Roma Request Information About Aston Villa Forward Evann Guessand

Roma have asked for information about Aston Villa attacker Evann Guessand as they continue evaluating potential additions to Gian Piero Gasperini’s forward line.

According to Flavio Maria Tassotti, the Ivory Coast international is among the players being monitored by the Giallorossi after finding himself on the margins of Aston Villa’s plans.

Guessand spent the second half of last season on loan at Crystal Palace, but the London club did not exercise its option to sign him permanently. The 25-year-old consequently returned to Villa, where his future remains uncertain.

His versatility is one of the qualities that particularly appeals to Roma. Guessand can operate as a centre-forward, on either wing or alongside another striker, giving Gasperini several possible ways to use him across the attack.

Roma’s approach is currently limited to a request for information. There is no indication of a formal offer or advanced negotiation with Aston Villa, and other attacking targets remain ahead of Guessand on the club’s shortlist.

The Giallorossi are prioritising the arrival of a right-footed player for the left side of the attack, with the club prepared to make a significant investment for its preferred option. Guessand represents a possible alternative should Roma encounter difficulties with their leading candidates.

Aston Villa signed the forward from Nice in 2025 after a season in which he scored 12 goals for the French club. His ability to cover several positions could make him an attractive market opportunity, but Roma are not currently treating the operation as a priority.

Guessand nevertheless remains a player to monitor as the Giallorossi assess the available options for completing their attack.
