Roma are making a serious move for Torino prospect Alessio Cacciamani, with concrete negotiations now reportedly underway between the two clubs.
According to Tuttosport, the Giallorossi are believed to be preparing an offer worth close to €10 million for the highly rated wide player. Torino president Urbano Cairo is demanding approximately €15 million, although a compromise could potentially be reached for between €12 million and €13 million.
Cacciamani has been monitored by Roma for more than a month, but earlier reports suggested that Torino had no intention of selling one of the most promising talents to emerge from their academy without receiving a significant offer.
The situation now appears to have developed into an active negotiation. Roma view the 2007-born Italian as an investment for the present and future, while Torino remain determined to protect the player’s value.
The Granata are also reportedly holding talks with Fiorentina over Niccolò Fortini. The move would provide Torino with a potential replacement should they eventually agree to sell Cacciamani to Roma.
Fortini’s pursuit suggests that Torino are preparing for every possible outcome, although no agreement has yet been reached for Cacciamani. A gap of several million euros remains between Roma’s reported proposal and Cairo’s asking price.
The Giallorossi must therefore decide whether to increase their offer towards the anticipated €12–13 million compromise range. Cacciamani is considered a valuable option for Roma’s wide positions, but the club will need to overcome Torino’s resistance before the operation can advance towards completion.
