Endrick is linked with a move to Liverpool

Roma consider Endrick and Mastantuono as Soulé sale could unlock move

Roma’s meetings with Real Madrid have strengthened the club’s belief that a deal for either Endrick or Franco Mastantuono could become possible before the transfer window closes.

According to Il Messaggero, sporting director Tony D’Amico came away from talks in Madrid convinced that both players could be attainable under the right conditions. However, it is Endrick who has emerged as the club’s preferred target.

Gian Piero Gasperini reportedly sees the Brazilian as the ideal player to rotate with Paulo Dybala, adding another dynamic attacking option to Roma’s frontline.

Any move, however, is expected to depend on the future of Matias Soulé. Should the Argentine leave before the end of the window, Roma would be ready to accelerate negotiations for Endrick.

The Giallorossi are also keen to avoid a straight loan. Instead, the club would prefer a deal similar to the one Real Madrid agreed for Nico Paz, allowing Roma to develop the player while giving Madrid long-term control through clauses such as a buy-back option.

For now, Endrick remains one of Roma’s most ambitious targets as D’Amico continues to explore ways of bringing another high-profile attacking talent to Trigoria.

Update from Filippo Biafora:

According to Filippo Biafora, Roma continue to prefer Endrick over Franco Mastantuono because they believe the Brazilian is a better tactical fit for Gian Piero Gasperini’s system.

However, the Giallorossi remain unwilling to pursue a straight loan, as the club does not want to develop players without any long-term benefit.

Instead, Roma would only consider a deal structured as a loan with an option to buy and a buy-back clause, similar to the Nico Paz formula, although such an operation is not currently close to being finalized.
