Roma are growing increasingly confident of completing the signing of Givairo Read, with negotiations continuing between the Giallorossi and Feyenoord.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Read has already made his preference clear, identifying Roma as his ideal destination. The highly rated Dutch full-back has already given the green light to the move and has also spoken directly with Gian Piero Gasperini about the club’s project.
Talks between Roma and Feyenoord remain active as the two clubs work to bridge the gap in valuation. Roma’s latest proposal, worth around €25 million, has not yet met the Dutch club’s demands, with Feyenoord continuing to seek a package worth approximately €30 million.
Discussions are now focused on the structure of the deal, including the payment schedule and performance-related bonuses that could help close the gap between the two sides.
Despite the remaining differences, Romano reports that Roma are optimistic an agreement can be reached, with the club hoping to finalize the transfer before the end of the week.

According to Alfredo Pedullà, Feyenoord continue to demand €30 million for Givairo Read, but the gap between the two clubs has now narrowed to around €2 million.
Roma are working to find the right formula by adjusting the bonus structure and payment terms in an effort to satisfy the Dutch club’s demands.
Meanwhile, Read continues to prioritise a move to AS Roma, attracted by the club’s project and the opportunity to play Champions League football.
