Roma are continuing to keep a close eye on Rafael Leão’s future, with the AC Milan forward still yet to decide where he will play next season.
According to TuttoMercatoWeb, Leão has rejected a lucrative proposal from Fenerbahçe for the time being. The Turkish club have remained in contact with the Portuguese international, but he has asked for more time before making a final decision and is not fully convinced by the move.
Roma remain interested in the situation but have not made any concrete approach. There have been no talks with either Milan or the player’s representatives, as the financial demands of any deal remain beyond the Giallorossi’s current plans.
However, Roma are expected to continue monitoring developments. If Leão is still available in the final weeks of the transfer window and the conditions become more favourable, the club could reassess whether an opportunity exists.
There is also a growing possibility that Leão stays at Milan. Reports suggest the Portuguese forward has built a strong understanding with new manager Rúben Amorim during the club’s pre-season tour in Australia, a factor that could convince him to remain at San Siro.
For now, Roma’s interest remains exploratory, with the club focused on more realistic attacking targets while keeping watch on one of Serie A’s biggest names.
