Roma are keeping tabs on Max Aarons, but the Bournemouth full-back is not the club’s priority as work continues on a deal for Givairo Read.
According to Ekrem Konur, the Giallorossi have requested information on Aarons following Zeki Çelik’s departure to Juventus. The English defender is one of several profiles being monitored as sporting director Tony D’Amico evaluates alternative options for the right-back position.
However, Roma’s full focus remains on completing the signing of Givairo Read from Feyenoord. Negotiations with the Dutch club are ongoing, with Read having already given his approval to join the Giallorossi. Until those talks are resolved, no concrete move for Aarons is expected.
The Bournemouth defender, who has three years remaining on his contract, is also attracting interest from Leeds United, who are considering both a loan and a permanent transfer.
Aarons’ versatility makes him an appealing option, but at this stage he should be viewed as a backup candidate rather than Roma’s preferred target. D’Amico’s priority remains finding an agreement with Feyenoord for Read, with other right-back options likely to be explored only if that deal fails to materialise.
