Angelino for Roma

Gianluca Di Marzio: Angeliño set for Deportivo medical ahead of €2.5m obligation to buy

Angeliño is on the verge of completing his move away from Roma, with the Spanish full-back scheduled to undergo his medical with Deportivo La Coruña tomorrow.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, the transfer will be completed as a loan with an obligation to buy worth €2.5 million. The deal is now in its final stages, with only the medical examinations and official paperwork remaining before the move is confirmed.

The departure brings an end to Angeliño’s spell in the Italian capital after falling out of Gian Piero Gasperini’s plans ahead of the new season.

For Roma, the transfer frees up space in the squad and contributes to the club’s summer restructuring, with sporting director Tony D’Amico continuing to reshape the team ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.

Fabrizio Romano: Angeliño deal may not include mandatory purchase clause

A new update from Fabrizio Romano appears to contradict earlier reports regarding the structure of Angeliño’s move to Deportivo La Coruña.

While Gianluca Di Marzio had reported that the transfer would include a loan with an obligation to buy, Romano states that, according to sources close to the player, there is no mandatory purchase clause in the agreement.

The final structure of the deal has yet to be confirmed, with the definitive details expected to become clear once the clubs exchange the official documents.
