According to Alfredo Pedullà, the Norwegian winger remains a priority for the Giallorossi despite the difficulties surrounding the deal. Roma are still evaluating whether to improve their proposal as they look to reduce the gap with the Bundesliga club.

At the same time, contacts for Malick Fofana remain active. The Lyon winger continues to be viewed as a serious alternative should Roma fail to reach an agreement for Nusa.
