Angeliño bids farewell to Roma after Deportivo move

Angeliño has shared an emotional farewell message following his departure from Roma, thanking the club, his teammates and the supporters after completing his move to Deportivo La Coruña.

The Spanish left-back leaves the Giallorossi after three seasons, during which he made 61 Serie A appearances and established himself as a regular in Roma’s squad.

In a post on Instagram, Angeliño reflected on his time in the Italian capital and expressed his gratitude to everyone connected with the club.

“It was an honour to wear this shirt and defend the Giallorossi colours. From day one, I felt part of a big, welcoming family, and playing every match at the Olimpico is a privilege I will always remember fondly.”

The defender admitted that leaving Rome was a difficult decision and said the club would always hold a special place in his heart.

“Leaving Rome is never easy, and a part of me will always remain here, among unforgettable moments, great teammates, so many lessons learned and the honour of representing a club with such immense history. Thanks to the club, the coaching staff and everyone who works here every day.”

Angeliño ended his message by paying tribute to the Roma supporters, whose backing he described as unforgettable.

“Above all, thank you to the fans for making me feel like one of you. Your support made this experience unique, and the memory of the Olimpico will stay with me forever. I wish you all the best for the future.”

The 29-year-old now begins a new chapter in Spain with Deportivo La Coruña, bringing an end to his time in the Eternal City.
