Former Roma midfielder Leandro Paredes could be set for a surprise return to Serie A, with AC Milan reportedly making a move for the Argentina international.
According to ESPN Argentina, Milan have submitted an official offer to Boca Juniors for the 31-year-old midfielder. While the report has since been echoed by other South American outlets the financial details of the proposal have not yet been disclosed.
Paredes only returned to Boca Juniors in the summer of 2025 after leaving Roma, fulfilling his long-held ambition of returning to the club where his professional career began. It now remains to be seen whether he is willing to head back to Europe after just one season in Argentina.
During his career, Paredes has represented Roma, Juventus, and Empoli in Serie A, making a return to Italy a familiar prospect.
While at Boca, the Argentine also spoke publicly about his desire to reunite with close friend Paulo Dybala, even expressing hope that the Roma forward could one day join him in Buenos Aires. That move never materialised, but Paredes himself could now be on the verge of another chapter in Italian football.
