Endrick for Brazil at the World Cup

Fabrizio Romano: Endrick prefers Real Madrid stay as Italy move looks unlikely

Endrick still hopes to remain at Real Madrid this season, but the Brazilian’s future remains open as competition for playing time continues to grow.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the 20-year-old’s preference is to stay in Madrid and fight for his place. However, his opportunities could be limited during the upcoming campaign prompting his representatives to prepare alternative options.

Romano reports that Endrick’s agents are already exploring potential loan destinations in the event Real Madrid decide the youngster would benefit from regular first-team football elsewhere.

Any decision on the striker’s future is expected to come in the final days of the summer transfer window with Real Madrid set to assess the situation before making a final call.

Despite Roma’s long-standing admiration for Endrick and Gian Piero Gasperini’s desire to bring the Brazilian to the capital, Romano adds that a move to Italy would be very difficult at this stage.

The update represents another setback for the Giallorossi, who have continued to monitor Endrick’s situation throughout the summer while exploring a number of attacking options ahead of the new Serie A season.
