Torino sporting director Gianluca Petrachi has addressed the future of Alessio Cacciamani, admitting that a significant offer could force the club to reconsider its desire to keep the youngster.
Speaking to TV dello Sport, Petrachi praised Cacciamani’s potential while acknowledging the realities of the transfer market.
“He’s an interesting academy player who still has to prove himself in Serie A, but he has everything needed to develop a lot. He’s certainly attracting attention.”
While Torino would prefer to keep the highly rated wide player, Petrachi suggested the club could listen if an exceptional proposal arrives.
“We would obviously like to continue with these young players, but you also have to deal with the market. Sometimes it presents crazy prices that you simply can’t ignore. Our intention is to keep him.”
The comments leave the door slightly open for Roma, who have been pursuing Cacciamani throughout the summer. Torino remain determined to retain him, but a sufficiently lucrative offer could potentially change their position before the transfer window closes.
