Rodrigo Mora is one step away from moving to Roma

AS Roma Evening Rumour Roundup: Rodrigo Mora deal close as Udogie talks grow and Endrick door shuts

Roma’s transfer activity remained intense on Sunday evening with Rodrigo Mora moving closer to the Giallorossi while Destiny Udogie emerged as a serious option for the left flank. At the same time, Roma’s hopes of signing Endrick were dealt a major blow after Real Madrid decided to keep the Brazilian.

Rodrigo Mora deal nearing completion

The biggest story of the evening remains Rodrigo Mora.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, the Porto talent is now extremely close to joining Roma. Negotiations are in the final stages, with only one last detail still to be resolved and strong confidence that a full agreement can be reached soon.

One structure under discussion would see Roma pay €25 million immediately, while Porto retain 50% of any future sale. Roma would then pay another €25 million in 2027 to buy out that percentage.

Alfredo Pedullà also reported that Roma are very confident of completing the deal. The preferred formula remains €25m upfront plus a future resale percentage, with Roma pushing for 40% while Porto want 50%. Another possibility would see the clause eventually removed through an additional payment.

The key factor is that all sides are now aligned. Porto are willing to sell, Roma want to buy and Mora wants the move.

Udogie talks continue with Tottenham

Roma are also pushing for Destiny Udogie.

According to Lorenzo Canicchio, the Giallorossi have proposed a loan with a €30 million option to buy, which could become mandatory if certain conditions are met. Tottenham are considering the offer and there is optimism around the talks.

Alfredo Pedullà later added that further discussions between Roma and Tottenham are expected. Udogie was considered untouchable by Spurs only a month ago, but the situation is now changing.

Should Roma complete a deal for Udogie, the club would likely abandon its pursuit of Alessio Cacciamani.

Endrick set to stay at Real Madrid

Roma’s pursuit of Endrick appears to be over for now.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Real Madrid have informed the Brazilian and his representatives that they intend to keep him in the squad. The club have communicated the decision directly to Roc Nation, with José Mourinho also approving the plan.

Roma had spent weeks working with Endrick’s entourage and trying to convince the striker that Trigoria would be the right place for his development, but Madrid’s decision has effectively closed the door on a summer move.

Cacciamani remains an alternative

Before the Udogie track accelerated, Roma had continued to push for Alessio Cacciamani.

La Stampa reported that Gasperini wants the Torino youngster strongly, with Roma now willing to approach the €20 million valuation through a mixture of fixed fee, bonuses and potentially a technical counterpart.

Anass Salah-Eddine had been mentioned as one possible player to include in the operation.

However, the Udogie talks could now determine whether Roma continue to invest time and money in the Cacciamani deal.

Roma continue to reshape the squad

Elsewhere, Roma continue to assess both incoming and outgoing options.

Evan Ndicka has been linked with Juventus, with Roma reportedly valuing the defender at around €30 million.

At the same time, the club continue to monitor several attacking options, though the immediate priority appears to be completing the Mora deal and then deciding whether to make another significant investment on the left flank.

With Mora now close and Udogie talks gaining momentum, Roma could be entering one of the most decisive stretches of their summer transfer window.
