Wesley has welcomed the possibility of Endrick joining Roma while outlining his ambition to make an impact in the Champions League this season.
Speaking to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Brazilian described the Champions League as his major personal objective after injury ruled him out of the Copa America.
“The Champions League is my World Cup,” Wesley said. “After the injury on July 6 that made me miss the Copa America, the Champions League became my real big objective.”
Wesley added that he is determined to help Roma make their mark on their return to Europe’s leading competition after a seven-year absence.
The Roma wing-back was also asked about Endrick, who continues to be linked with a possible loan move from Real Madrid.
“I haven’t spoken to Endrick,” Wesley said. “Obviously I would really like it if Endrick could come to Roma, but he has to decide what is best for his future.”
Wesley also admitted he would welcome a growing Brazilian contingent at Trigoria.
“I would like to see many Brazilians here at Roma. If someone like Endrick really arrived, with his quality, I would be very happy.”
