Roma defender Jan Ziolkowski, who is the subject of transfer talks with Saudi club Al-Qadsiah

Corriere della Sera: Roma set €20m asking price for Jan Ziolkowski amid Saudi interest

Jan Ziolkowski could leave Roma just one year after arriving from Legia Warsaw, with the Giallorossi reportedly setting their price for the young defender.

According to Corriere della Sera, Roma would consider selling Ziolkowski for around €20 million. Several Saudi Arabian clubs are showing interest in the 20-year-old, although it remains unclear whether he would be willing to leave European football at this stage of his career.

Ziolkowski joined Roma for around €6 million last summer and played 761 minutes across all competitions during his first season, scoring once in the Europa League. The Polish centre-back is looking for more regular playing time and his future at Trigoria is now uncertain.

Should Ziolkowski leave, Roma are not necessarily expected to sign another natural centre-back. Gian Piero Gasperini could use Devyne Rensch centrally, allowing sporting director Tony D’Amico to invest instead in another player for the flank.

Destiny Udogie has recently moved ahead of Alessio Cacciamani among Roma’s options for that role, although the club continue to work on both possibilities.
