Roma are accelerating their search for another wing-back, with Luis Henrique emerging as a serious target for Gian Piero Gasperini.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, sporting director Tony D’Amico has already made initial contact with Inter counterpart Piero Ausilio. Roma are reportedly prepared to invest between €25 million and €30 million in the Brazilian.
Inter are open to evaluating an offer in that range, although the Nerazzurri first want to understand how seriously Roma intend to pursue the 24-year-old.
Luis Henrique has reportedly moved ahead of Destiny Udogie for the moment among Roma’s preferred options for the flanks. His versatility is particularly attractive as he can operate on either side and provide both attacking and defensive support.
The former Marseille player featured on the right during Denzel Dumfries’ absence last season before also being used on the left.
Gasperini believes there is further room to develop Luis Henrique’s attacking output, while his ability to cover both flanks could provide valuable flexibility. Roma are now considering a significant investment as D’Amico works to strengthen the squad before the new season.
