Diego Moreira has reached an agreement on personal terms with RB Leipzig as the Bundesliga club work to sign the Strasbourg winger.
According to Santi Aouna, Moreira has agreed contractual terms with Leipzig and has been identified as the German club’s priority replacement for Yan Diomandé.
Leipzig have also reached an agreement with Moreira’s Strasbourg teammate Samir El Mourabet as they target a double move from the French club.
The remaining challenge is reaching agreements with Strasbourg, who must now be convinced to sanction the departures of both players.
Florian Plettenberg reports that Leipzig are asking between €60-70m for Moreira.
Moreira had previously been linked with Roma as the Giallorossi evaluated young attacking options for Gian Piero Gasperini.
However, Leipzig have now taken a significant step toward securing the Belgian-Moroccan winger by reaching an agreement with the player.
