Nkunku returns on Roma radar

Alfredo Pedullà: No Soulé-Nkunku swap deal as Roma interest in Frenchman remains

Roma continue to appreciate Christopher Nkunku, but there is currently no swap deal involving Matias Soulé and Milan.

According to Alfredo Pedullà, the Giallorossi remain interested in Nkunku and Gian Piero Gasperini has wanted the French attacker since January. However, despite recent speculation, there is no active negotiation based on an exchange with Soulé at this stage.

That position is reinforced by Attilio Malena, who reports that the Soulé-to-Milan track is becoming increasingly cold for now.

Roma could still revisit Nkunku independently if the right conditions emerge, especially with Milan open to moving him on, but the idea of a direct Soulé-Nkunku swap is not currently taking shape.

12:22 PM ET — Nkunku not considered a concrete option for Roma’s attack

According to Peppe Lo Monaco of Mana Sport, Christopher Nkunku should not be considered a concrete transfer target for Roma as they search for a new attacking winger. Despite recent links with the Milan forward, Nkunku does not fit the parameters Roma have identified for the position, making a move unlikely under the club’s current strategy.

9:19 AM ET — LR24: Nkunku emerges as concrete Roma option with Soulé loan-swap idea discussed

According to LR24, sources close to Christopher Nkunku confirm that the French attacker could become a concrete option for Roma in the coming hours after being pushed to the margins of Milan’s squad by Ruben Amorim.

Contacts between Nkunku’s entourage and Roma are confirmed, while a possible loan swap involving Matias Soulé also remains on the table, with Milan continuing to monitor the Argentine for their attacking midfield.

Roma had also recently explored a move for Rafael Leão, but his salary of more than €5 million net per season reportedly made that track difficult from the outset.
