Roma’s transfer window remains focused on the search for another attacking reinforcement, with Rodrigo Mora still the priority despite difficult negotiations with Porto. Malick Fofana continues to emerge as the leading alternative, while Luis Henrique, Christopher Nkunku and other names remain under consideration.
Roma still believe in Rodrigo Mora
The Mora deal remains alive.
According to Fabrizio Romano and Matteo Moretto, Roma have continued working quietly on the operation and fresh contacts have taken place in recent hours. The two clubs still need to resolve the structure of the transfer, clauses and other details before determining whether the deal is genuinely achievable.
Mora’s family and entourage are pushing for the move to Roma because they believe the club represents the right environment for his development. Gian Piero Gasperini is also continuing to push for his arrival.
Roma therefore remain committed to the deal despite the difficult negotiations of recent days.
Malick Fofana ready to move up the shortlist
Should Roma finally move away from Mora, Malick Fofana appears well positioned to become the next major target.
Alfredo Pedullà reports that Roma have continued requesting information about the Lyon winger, who has been on the club’s radar for almost two weeks.
Lyon’s valuation has also been dropping. A player initially valued at around €45 million is now believed to be closer to €40 million, with room for further negotiation.
Fofana remains one of the clearest alternatives if Roma decide the Mora negotiations can no longer continue.
Luis Henrique agreement not close
Roma remain interested in Luis Henrique, but there is still work to do before a deal with Inter can advance.
According to Romano and Moretto, Roma and Inter have a good relationship and a basis for an agreement. However, the Giallorossi have not yet reached an economic agreement with the Brazilian.
Luis Henrique’s entourage appreciates Roma’s project from a sporting perspective, but contractual terms still need to be resolved.
Roma also have other priorities at the moment, meaning the operation is not considered close to completion.
Martinelli financially impossible
Gabriel Martinelli can effectively be removed from Roma’s shortlist for now.
According to Matteo Moretto, the Arsenal winger is financially impossible for Roma because of the salary involved.
The Brazilian has rejected a move to Galatasaray and Arsenal remain open to selling him for the right price, but his wages put him outside Roma’s current parameters.
Antonio Nusa track frozen
Another attacking option that has cooled is Antonio Nusa.
Fabrizio Romano reports that very little concrete work has been done regarding a potential move to Roma.
RB Leipzig are under no pressure to sell following Diomandé’s departure, meaning the Norwegian winger should currently be considered a frozen track for the Giallorossi.
Nkunku links continue but doubts remain
Christopher Nkunku continues to generate contrasting reports.
Milan have removed the French attacker from their first-team plans, while Gasperini has appreciated the player since January.
However, Peppe Lo Monaco of Mana Sport reports that Nkunku does not fit the parameters Roma have identified for their attacking winger and should not currently be considered a concrete target.
There has also been speculation over a possible loan swap involving Matias Soulé, although Alfredo Pedullà has denied that such an agreement currently exists.
Udogie and Cacciamani remain on standby
Roma are also continuing to evaluate their options on the left flank.
According to Lorenzo Canicchio, the situations involving Destiny Udogie and Alessio Cacciamani are currently on standby.
Udogie has already shown openness to joining Roma, but Tottenham remain difficult to convince on the structure of the transfer. Torino, meanwhile, continue to resist Roma’s attempts for Cacciamani.
Roma approaching another decisive stretch
The immediate focus remains Rodrigo Mora.
Roma continue to believe the deal can be completed, but Fofana is increasingly positioned as the alternative if negotiations with Porto finally break down.
With Luis Henrique still requiring work on personal terms and several other tracks cooling, the next breakthrough could determine the direction of Roma’s final two weeks of the transfer window.
