Fabrizio Romano: Antonio Nusa track frozen for Roma as Leipzig have no need to sell

Roma’s pursuit of Antonio Nusa is currently on hold as the Giallorossi continue evaluating alternatives for Gian Piero Gasperini’s attack.

According to Fabrizio Romano, very little concrete work has been done regarding the feasibility of bringing the Norwegian winger to Roma.

The main obstacle is RB Leipzig’s position. Following the sale of Diomandé, the Bundesliga club are under no pressure to sell Nusa and have no current need to sanction another important departure.

As a result, the Nusa track should be considered frozen for Roma at this stage of the transfer window.

Roma continue to assess several attacking options as they look to strengthen Gasperini’s squad before the deadline, but a move for Nusa does not currently appear to be progressing.
