Porto head coach Francesco Farioli has addressed the uncertainty surrounding Rodrigo Mora as negotiations with Roma continue over the Portuguese talent.
Speaking at his latest press conference, Farioli admitted he has no new information regarding Mora’s future despite a week dominated by transfer speculation.
“You’ve been impatiently waiting for news for a week, but the reality is that I don’t have any news,” Farioli said. “Having the transfer market open while we’re playing is normal, but we have to deal with it sensitively. In the end, what matters is the contract.”
The Porto coach also praised Mora’s attitude throughout the uncertainty.
“This week we’ve been bombarded 24 hours a day with news and rumours. Mora is a great professional, he is an FC Porto player and a huge supporter of the club. We will use him when we consider it appropriate.”
Roma remain in talks with Porto after negotiations stalled over the conditions attached to the obligation to buy. Mora remains under contract with the Portuguese club while the two sides attempt to reach a definitive conclusion.
