The Arsenal winger’s salary demands are considered too high with the player also reportedly asking for an increase.
Roma are not expected to pursue a move for Gabriel Martinelli under the current conditions.
According to Alfredo Pedullà the Arsenal winger is considered a non-viable option for the Giallorossi because of the financial demands involved in the operation.
The main obstacle is Martinelli’s salary, which is already outside Roma’s preferred wage structure. Pedullà adds that the Brazilian is also asking for an increase on his current earnings, making the deal even more difficult to consider.
Roma have previously been linked with Martinelli as they continue searching for another attacking reinforcement, but the cost of the operation means the club are expected to focus on more realistic alternatives.
