9:22 PM ET — Fabrizio Romano and Matteo Moretto: Luis Henrique talks progress as Roma maintain Fofana and Cacciamani contacts
According to Fabrizio Romano and Matteo Moretto, several positive factors point toward Luis Henrique potentially becoming a new Roma player, but an agreement is not yet complete.
The Brazilian still needs to give his full approval to Gian Piero Gasperini’s sporting project, while Roma must also reach an agreement with the player over his salary.
The Giallorossi need to make the right financial proposal before the operation can close.
Meanwhile, Malick Fofana was offered to Roma again this week, while the club have also held fresh contacts for Alessio Cacciamani as they continue working on additional reinforcements.
1:35 PM ET — Gianluca Di Marzio: Luis Henrique deal remains alive as player gives initial approval
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Luis Henrique has given his initial approval to a move to Roma, clearing an important obstacle in negotiations.
Roma and Inter have already reached a financial understanding worth around €30 million including a fixed fee and bonuses. However, the operation remains temporarily on hold because the Giallorossi want to complete the Rodrigo Mora deal first.
Once Mora’s situation is resolved, Roma are expected to return to Inter and attempt to finalize the signing of the Brazilian winger.
The Inter winger featured in a friendly win over Betis, with reports suggesting his thoughts are now increasingly turning toward the Italian capital.
Roma’s interest in Luis Henrique remains alive as the Brazilian winger continues to be linked with a move away from Inter.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Luis Henrique featured in Inter’s 1-0 friendly win over Betis in Bari and produced a solid performance on the right flank.
The newspaper’s player ratings also referenced Roma’s interest directly, noting that the Brazilian may now be increasingly focused on a potential move to the capital.
“He will have been studied from Roma and the Brazilian’s thoughts now increasingly turn toward the capital,” Gazzetta wrote.
Luis Henrique has been one of the wide options monitored by Roma in recent weeks as Gian Piero Gasperini continues to ask for more depth and versatility on the flanks.
The Giallorossi have explored different formulas for a potential deal, while Inter remain open to discussing the player’s future under the right conditions.
For now, Luis Henrique remains an option rather than a completed operation, but the latest indications suggest the player could be increasingly receptive to Roma.
