A move for the Arsenal winger remains difficult due to the financial demands involved, but the possibility has not been completely ruled out.
Roma have made enquiries over a potential move for Gabriel Martinelli as the Giallorossi continue evaluating high-level options for Gian Piero Gasperini’s attack.
According to Lorenzo Canicchio, Roma’s exploratory contacts for the Arsenal winger have been confirmed.
A deal for Martinelli remains complicated, particularly given the significant financial commitment that would be required to sign the Brazilian international.
However, Canicchio reports that the operation should not be considered impossible at this stage.
Martinelli has emerged as one of several attacking profiles monitored by Roma during the final weeks of the transfer window.
The Giallorossi will now have to determine whether the conditions could become favourable enough to turn their initial enquiries into concrete negotiations.
