Cacciamani is still a Roma target

Torino director Gianluca Petrachi addresses Alessio Cacciamani future amid Roma interest

Petrachi confirms several clubs are monitoring the young winger but insists Torino want to keep him unless a significant offer arrives.

Roma continue to closely monitor Alessio Cacciamani, with the highly rated Torino talent remaining among the Giallorossi’s options for the flank.

Speaking to SportMediaset following Torino’s Coppa Italia victory over Carrarese, sporting director Gianluca Petrachi confirmed there is interest in Cacciamani but reiterated the club’s desire to keep him.

“He’s certainly a player who’s done well and is being monitored by several clubs,” Petrachi said. “It’s nice because he’s been here since the youth academy. We hope to keep him.”

Petrachi also addressed Cacciamani’s valuation and made it clear that Torino have not established a specific asking price.

“Price? If there had been one, he would have already left. A significant offer needs to arrive, otherwise we’d like to keep him.”

Roma remain among the clubs interested in Cacciamani, but Petrachi’s comments underline the difficulty of convincing Torino to sell without a substantial proposal.

The sporting director also acknowledged Torino’s wider financial situation, revealing that the club have been given €20 million to operate in the market and will need to generate additional resources through sales.

“The club has made €20 million available, and we need some sales,” Petrachi added.

That situation could eventually influence Cacciamani’s future, although Torino’s preference remains to keep the youngster unless an offer arrives that is considered too significant to reject.
