Roma and Benevento are exchanging documents for a loan with an option to buy, which could become mandatory if certain conditions are met.
Luigi Cherubini is one step away from leaving Roma to begin a new chapter with Benevento.
According to TuttoMercatoWeb, the two clubs are finalizing the remaining details of the operation and have already begun exchanging documents.
Cherubini is expected to join Benevento on loan with an option to buy. The option could become an obligation if Benevento earn promotion to Serie A and the 2004-born attacker reaches certain appearance and individual performance targets.
The transfer is now in its final stages, with Cherubini potentially travelling to Benevento as early as this evening.
His medical examinations are scheduled for tomorrow and will be followed by the signing of his contract. Once the remaining bureaucratic formalities are completed, Cherubini will officially begin his new experience away from Trigoria.
The move will give the Roma youngster an opportunity to secure regular playing time and continue his development at senior level.
