Roma propose a loan with a €15 million option for the Fenerbahçe defender, while Chelsea refuse to release Bynoe-Gittens temporarily

Roma’s search for the final reinforcements requested by Gian Piero Gasperini continues, with significant developments emerging around Jayden Oosterwolde and Jamie Bynoe-Gittens.

The Giallorossi have advanced discussions with Fenerbahçe after proposing a loan deal for Oosterwolde, while Chelsea have firmly rejected the possibility of allowing Bynoe-Gittens to leave under the same formula.

Roma advance Oosterwolde talks

Roma are negotiating with Fenerbahçe over a potential move for Oosterwolde after submitting an offer structured as a loan with an option to buy.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, the proposed purchase option would be worth €15 million. Filippo Biafora of Il Tempo has also confirmed that discussions between the clubs are underway.

Gasperini is looking for a physically imposing player capable of strengthening Roma’s options out wide, and Oosterwolde is considered to fit that profile. The Dutch defender can operate centrally or on the left flank, offering the tactical versatility valued by the Roma coach.

Alfredo Pedullà reports that Fenerbahçe are willing to discuss a loan carrying an option to buy, although a final agreement has not been reached.

Lorenzo Canicchio first revealed Roma’s interest in Oosterwolde on August 18. Concerns surrounding the player’s physical condition had made the potential operation less straightforward, but negotiations have now progressed.

Chelsea reject Bynoe-Gittens loan request

Roma have also made a formal request to sign Jamie Bynoe-Gittens on loan from Chelsea, according to Pedullà.

The English winger is highly regarded by the Giallorossi management and has been on the club’s list for some time. However, Biafora reports that any move would depend entirely on Chelsea accepting Roma’s proposed formula.

That prospect currently appears remote. Fabrizio Romano reports that Chelsea do not consider Bynoe-Gittens available and have categorically ruled out sanctioning a loan departure.

Unless the Premier League club changes its position during the closing stages of the window, Roma will be unable to advance the operation.

Friedkins unlikely to approve Fofana investment

Malick Fofana remains among Roma’s attacking targets, but the financial requirements of the deal represent a major obstacle.

Il Tempo reports that the framework of a potential agreement had been established at approximately €35 million plus bonuses. However, the Friedkin ownership is not currently expected to approve an investment of that size.

Roma have been instructed to prioritize loans and operations requiring limited immediate expenditure unless outgoing transfers generate additional funds. Fofana is considered unlikely to receive an economic exception under the present circumstances.

Cacciamani and Luis Henrique remain difficult options

Alessio Cacciamani could still represent an opportunity because of his age and potential cost, although Torino have not altered their position.

Roma continue to value the young wide player below Torino’s demands, leaving the clubs separated over the financial terms of a possible transfer.

Luis Henrique also remains on the list, but Inter reportedly want €25 million guaranteed. Roma would prefer a loan with an option to buy and could reconsider the Brazilian if the Nerazzurri soften their conditions late in the window.

Increased competition for Nkunku

Roma continue to monitor Christopher Nkunku, but Newcastle United and RB Leipzig have now made direct contact with AC Milan.

According to Romano, both clubs are seeking information about the conditions of a potential transfer. No agreement has been reached, but the discussions mean Roma face increased competition should they decide to pursue the French attacker.

Nkunku is expected to leave Milan before the end of the transfer window, although the financial structure required to sign him could prove decisive for Roma.

Al-Qadsiah open Ziolkowski talks

Roma could also generate funds through departures, with Al-Qadsiah opening negotiations for Jan Ziolkowski.

According to Nicolò Schira, the Giallorossi are asking €20 million for the Polish centre-back. No agreement has been reported, but an offer approaching Roma’s valuation could be considered as the club seeks room to complete further incoming business.

Gasperini still wants two additions

Gasperini reportedly continues to request two more signings: an attacking winger and another player for the wide defensive roles.

Sporting director Tony D’Amico is evaluating sustainable opportunities, including profiles whose names have not yet emerged publicly.

The developing talks for Oosterwolde currently represent Roma’s most concrete route toward completing one of those additions. The pursuit of Bynoe-Gittens, meanwhile, remains blocked unless Chelsea unexpectedly reconsider their refusal to discuss a loan.
