Tottenham attacker Mathys Tel, who was the subject of a transfer approach from Roma

Corriere della Sera: Tottenham reject Roma approach for Mathys Tel

Roberto De Zerbi considers the French attacker untouchable and has no intention of allowing him to leave

Roma made an attempt to sign Mathys Tel from Tottenham Hotspur in recent days as they continue searching for another attacking reinforcement.

According to Corriere della Sera, the Giallorossi approached Tottenham to explore the conditions of a potential move for the Frenchman.

The response from the Premier League club was unequivocal. Tottenham manager Roberto De Zerbi considers Tel an important part of his squad and has declared the attacker unavailable for transfer.

Roma have therefore been unable to advance the operation, regardless of the possible structure of a deal.

Roma remain active in their search for an offensive wide player, but a move for Tel is not currently considered possible unless Tottenham unexpectedly change their stance before the transfer window closes.
