The Fenerbahçe defender joins on an initial €1 million loan, with a €15 million purchase option that can become mandatory.
Jayden Oosterwolde is set to become Roma’s fifth signing of the summer after the Giallorossi completed an agreement with Fenerbahçe.
According to Filippo Biafora, Roma will pay €1 million for the initial loan. The agreement includes an option to buy worth €15 million, plus a further €2 million in potential bonuses.
The purchase option will become mandatory if Oosterwolde makes 15 appearances of at least 45 minutes for Roma.
The defender has already resumed running as he continues working toward his return to full fitness. Roma are now expected to complete the remaining formalities surrounding his arrival.
Oosterwolde will provide Gian Piero Gasperini with a versatile and physically imposing option who can operate as a left-sided centre-back or wing-back.
The 25-year-old becomes Roma’s fifth summer addition following the arrivals of Konstantinos Koulierakis, Nahuel Molina, Santiago Castro and Rodrigo Mora.
