10:20 AM ET — Alfredo Pedullà: Jonathan Rowe was offered to Roma
According to Alfredo Pedullà, Jonathan Rowe was offered to Roma during the club’s search for a new option on the left side of the attack.
The Giallorossi appreciated the English winger’s profile but decided to pursue other targets, ultimately completing a deal for Santiago Castro.
Rowe is now the subject of advanced negotiations between Bologna and Atalanta.
The English winger has become Cristiano Giuntoli’s leading target, with Bologna already searching for a replacement.
Atalanta are advancing in negotiations to sign Jonathan Rowe from Bologna as they look to strengthen their attacking options before the transfer window closes.
According to Matteo Moretto, the two clubs have held further contact in recent hours and talks are now at an advanced stage. Rowe has emerged as the leading target identified by Cristiano Giuntoli for that area of Atalanta’s squad.
No final agreement has been reported, but the negotiations appear to be progressing positively. Bologna have already begun searching for a possible replacement, another indication that Rowe could be approaching a departure.
Another left wing target for Roma appears to be headed elsewhere.
