The Moroccan international is reportedly receptive to a Premier League move as Roma consider his future.
Crystal Palace are interested in signing Roma midfielder Neil El Aynaoui before the summer transfer window closes.
According to Santi Aouna of Foot Mercato, the Premier League club have identified El Aynaoui as one of two Moroccan targets alongside Rennes defender Abdelhamid Aït Boudlal.
Palace are looking to add greater depth in midfield and central defence following a 2-0 defeat against Everton in Pierre Sage’s first match as manager. An injury to Chadi Riad has also increased the urgency surrounding their defensive search.
Both El Aynaoui and Aït Boudlal are reportedly receptive to Palace’s interest and attracted by the opportunity to join the club’s Premier League project.
No formal offer or advanced negotiations have been reported for the Roma midfielder at this stage.
El Aynaoui’s future has become the subject of speculation during the closing days of the window. Roma would reportedly consider selling the former Lens player if they receive an important proposal, with the club previously valued at around €35 million.
A departure could also create the financial room required for Roma to pursue another midfielder. Richard Ríos remains appreciated by the Giallorossi, although Alfredo Pedullà reports that no official offer has been submitted to Benfica.
