Roma players Mario Hermoso and Manu Koné during the Serie A victory over Fiorentina

Mario Hermoso and Manu Koné receive first bookings of Serie A season

The Roma pair were officially sanctioned by the Sporting Judge following the 4-0 victory over Fiorentina.

Mario Hermoso and Manu Koné have received their first disciplinary sanctions of the 2026/27 Serie A season.

The Sporting Judge confirmed the yellow cards shown to both Roma players during Monday evening’s 4-0 victory over Fiorentina at the Stadio Olimpico.

Referee Matteo Marcenaro booked Hermoso and Koné for separate fouls on Fiorentina attacker Franco Mastantuono.

The cautions represent the first bookings of the campaign for both players. Neither is suspended, meaning they remain available to Gian Piero Gasperini for Roma’s next league fixture.

The Giallorossi will now turn their attention to the second matchday of the season, when they are scheduled to face Lecce at the Via del Mare on August 31.

Roma travel south with three points after opening their campaign through a Donyell Malen hat-trick and a late goal from Niccolò Pisilli against Fiorentina.
