The former Hellas Verona staff member joins Roma as the club continues restructuring its academy operations.
Roma have appointed Jacopo Gobbetti as the new head of scouting for the club’s youth sector.
According to Lorenzo Canicchio of Gazzetta Regionale, Gobbetti arrives from Hellas Verona, where he previously worked alongside Massimo Margiotta.
His appointment represents another important step in Roma’s ongoing restructuring of the academy’s sporting operations. Gobbetti will be responsible for identifying and evaluating young players capable of joining the Giallorossi development system.
Roma have traditionally placed considerable importance on their academy, which has produced numerous first-team players and Italian internationals. Strengthening the recruitment structure will be central to the club’s effort to maintain that pathway.
Gobbetti’s experience at Hellas Verona and his previous work with Margiotta provide continuity as Roma reorganize the personnel responsible for recruiting and developing young talent.
The appointment has not yet been formally announced by the club.
