Roma made an enquiry about Dan Ndoye during their search for an attacking reinforcement, but Nottingham Forest immediately closed the door to a potential transfer.
According to Lorenzo Canicchio, the Giallorossi contacted the Premier League club in recent days to request information about the Swiss winger.
Nottingham Forest Refused to Consider Ndoye Sale
Nottingham Forest informed Roma that Ndoye was considered unavailable for transfer, preventing discussions from advancing beyond the initial enquiry.
The Switzerland international was familiar to Roma following his time in Serie A with Bologna. His ability to operate across the attacking line would have offered Gian Piero Gasperini another versatile option for the left side of his attack.
However, Forest’s firm position forced Roma to concentrate on other targets during the final days of the transfer window.
Roma Continue Deadline-Day Winger Search
The enquiry provides another indication of how extensively Roma explored the market while attempting to complete their attacking department.
The Giallorossi have pursued several alternatives throughout the closing stages of the window, including Jamie Leweling, Luiz Henrique and Jamie Bynoe-Gittens.
Ndoye, however, was never able to develop into an active negotiation because Nottingham Forest refused to consider his departure.
