Thomas Kristensen training with Atalanta ahead of the Serie A match against Roma

Atalanta Receive Thomas Kristensen Boost Ahead of Roma Clash

Thomas Kristensen has returned to full training two days before Atalanta face Roma, while Isak Hien and Kamaldeen Sulemana remain sidelined.

Maurizio Sarri has received positive news ahead of Atalanta’s upcoming Serie A match against Roma, with Thomas Kristensen returning to group training.

According to TuttoMercatoWeb, the Danish defender completed the latest session alongside his teammates after missing Atalanta’s opening two league matches.

Kristensen Returns to Atalanta Training

Kristensen had been unavailable because of a sprained left ankle sustained before the beginning of the campaign.

His return to full training represents an important step in his recovery, although Atalanta must still determine whether he is ready to feature against Gian Piero Gasperini’s side.

The two clubs will meet on Saturday, September 5, with kickoff scheduled for 8:45 PM CEST—or 2:45 PM ET.

Hien and Sulemana Remain Sidelined

Atalanta are still monitoring Isak Hien and Kamaldeen Sulemana, both of whom continued receiving treatment rather than participating in the group session.

Their availability for the trip to face Roma therefore remains uncertain with only two days left before the match.

Roma have also welcomed players back into training this week, as Lorenzo Pellegrini and Devyne Rensch returned to the group ahead of the Atalanta clash.

Meanwhile, Evan Ndicka has resumed partial training after overcoming the inflammation that forced him to withdraw shortly before kickoff against Lecce.
