Roma will wear the World Food Programme logo on the front of their shirts against Fenerbahçe, with the match-worn jerseys later auctioned to support emergency relief efforts in Nepal.
Roma and the United Nations World Food Programme have joined forces to raise awareness and funds for communities affected by severe floods and landslides across Nepal.
The special initiative will take place during Roma’s Champions League opener against Fenerbahçe in Istanbul on Thursday, September 10.
Roma shirts to feature World Food Programme logo
Gian Piero Gasperini’s players will take the pitch at the Şükrü Saracoğlu Stadium with the World Food Programme logo displayed on the front of their shirts.
The initiative will use Roma’s return to the Champions League stage to bring international attention to the humanitarian emergency and the relief work being conducted by the WFP.
The club also thanked Eurobet.live for its contribution toward making the initiative possible.
Roma announced the collaboration through an official statement on Wednesday.

Floods and landslides have severely affected several regions of Nepal, leaving entire communities isolated from the rest of the country.

Match-worn Roma shirts to be auctioned
Roma’s support will continue beyond the Champions League match itself.
The shirts worn by Gasperini’s players against Fenerbahçe will be placed at auction, with all proceeds directed toward the WFP’s emergency relief efforts for the people of Nepal.
Further information regarding the auction process and its opening date has not yet been announced.
The initiative will transform the shirts from Roma’s long-awaited Champions League return into unique pieces of memorabilia while raising funds for an urgent humanitarian cause.
Supporters can donate through ShareTheMeal
Roma supporters who want to contribute directly can do so through ShareTheMeal, the World Food Programme’s fundraising platform.
The platform allows users to make individual donations toward food and humanitarian assistance for people in need.
“A small gesture can help provide food and assistance to those who need it most,” Roma said in its announcement.
Roma prepare for Champions League return
The initiative will accompany Roma’s first Champions League appearance in more than seven years.
Gasperini has named an almost complete travelling squad for the Fenerbahçe match, with Devyne Rensch available and Lorenzo Pellegrini the only notable absentee.
Approximately 2,300 Roma supporters are expected to attend the match in Istanbul.
